KTuner isnāt going to make more power over Hondata. Quite the opposite actually, many high power setups wonāt work at all on KTuner due to needing a fuel pump or flex fuel or an aircharge limit bypass. They both do the same thing, which is replacing data on the ECU. Itās not like a part that can...
Technically you could do it without removing the intake if your silicone is still pliable enough. But itās easier to just take it out.. if you drop one of those bolts into the engine bay itāll be no fun.
All you really need to know is how to datalog which is on my site www.datalo.gs - the site itself lets you upload datalogs but thereās a short tutorial on it too near the bottom
Thereās really only two ways for this to happen on a custom tune.
1. You have a flex fuel kit and it wasnāt set up to use the primary coolant temp sensor, so it always saw it reading well below 170F on secondary (flex kit replaces secondary sensor) and never ran the fans
2. Fan temps were set...
There will usually be some codes after the jailbreak process. If it doesnāt go away after a little bit more driving, go into FlashProManager, click the online menu, and press Clear DTCs. Or flash a basemap, itāll accomplish the same thing.
Technically no, but you might as well plug it in because itās only one click away from actually doing the jailbreak process. Once youāre jailbroken the physical device can be unplugged and is basically useless to you, however it can be used by anyone else.
A PRL customer support rep made a mistake, theyāre still producing them but not taking orders directly until they catch up. You can still order it through a couple vendors though like myself (www.fk8.clinic) and weāve got it on a Black Friday sale for 10% off until Monday.
Thereās no trickery about it, the same invisible tables that Hondata changes for their fuel pump is changed for XDI too, just with different values.
The main difference is fuel pressure tuning. XDI likes a bit of a different curve and the base mod for the pressure is kind of crap. Thereās also...
Hey CivicX,
Just a heads up that I'm running our yearly Black Friday sale starting today and ending on Monday at www.fk8.clinic.
Discounts:
20% off tunes and retunes
10% off PRL Motorsports products (including the P600 turbo!)
10-15% off Xtreme-DI products
20% off Rampage hardware (nuts...
1500F is about as far as Iām willing to see and only for a moment. Iām not sure what temperature the air charge reduction activates, but I disable it on pretty much every car except heavy duty track cars where EGT management is critical.
That being said, the EGT sensor is unfortunately...
On the stock calibration, yeah. The top end is pretty heavily neutered. How hot was it? Temps play a huge role in this too.
If you have a scanner you can try reading the fuel trims to see if itās heavily negative at WOT. That would indicate a boost leak.
15psi sounds about right for such high elevation. Even my tuning customers with a custom tune see 18-22 at best at 4500 and such a high elevation, compared to the 27-29psi and 22psi by redline at sea level. The ECU has an extremely conservative turbo compression ratio limit that is affected by...
