I have a 2019 sport, sometimes when I’m using cruise control, and lane assist, it’ll beep just once seemingly for no reason. I’m not departing my lane or anything. I try to reproduce it myself to figure out why it’s doing it, but I can’t figure out how.

Anyone else experience this, and/or know why it does this?

The beeps could be: 1. When the radar picks up a car or when there isn’t a car, it will beep and show a car or just an outline od a car icon to let you know either way. 2. If you also have Lane Keep Assist on - the symbol that looks like you’re driving with lane makers - that will also beep to warn when the camera can or cannot detect lane markers to alert you that it’s activated or not.

Ahh! That could be it, when it cannot detect lane markers. I’ll pay attention to that to see if that’s the case next time I drive it. Seems to mainly happen at night.

I thought it could be when it detects a car, but it doesn’t beep (for me) when it sees/doesn’t see a car.

I can’t recall but the beep may be a setting option for ACC. I KNOW mine beeps since I had it in use yesterday during a road trip.

How To Turn Off Honda Lane Assist
  1. Press MAIN button (located on the steering wheel)
  2. Press LKAS button (on the steering wheel as well)
  3. If you see lane outlines, this lets you know that the LKAS is on.
  4. PRESS LKAS AGAIN (this will turn the system off)

This was from a quick Google search so not verified for our cars.

Also, there is RTFM.

There’s a setting in the infotainment... I forgot the exact steps to get to it at the moment, but it’s there somewhere. Mess with yours, and if you can’t find it, let me know and I’ll check when I have time.

I don’t want to turn off LKAS, just the annoying beep every time it looses sight of the lane markers etc
