I’m looking for some help installing the Recaro seats for my 2020 Hatchback Sport. I will gladly pay for your service of course. Got quoted from a local shop and the wait time is 2 months plus outrageous price for labor. Preferably in Orange County.

It’s not hard. 4 bolts each,, disconnect harness seatbelt. Bolt back on new one. Reconnect seatbelt harness.

Not worth it to have someone else install it. It’s pretty tough to screw it up.

The passenger side is tough with the weight sensor thing. I just have a carbon sticker hiding the light. The driver seat is much easier to apply the canceller. Seat belt still functions and the front airbag works fine. You are removing the stock seat and the side airbags. I have ran racing seats for over 7 years in 3 different cars. I have passed state inspection with a single driver sparco seat and complete passenger seat taken out.

For the driver side, the harness connections is different from the after market ones? They’re 3 connectors and only 2 available for the recaros?

Do I just leave certain sensors not attached for the driver side? Do I need to buy another sensor for the driver side too?

You don’t need another sensor. The canceller you have will negate the driver seAt belt light. The passenger side is difficult to make it work because the weight sensor is not plug and play on the aftermarket seat bracket. The weight sensor is sort of part of the stock seat bracket. The driver side doesn’t have this weight sensor.

I need to swap my drivers side seat out to give myself head clearance for a helmet.

How hard was this swap?
