How many Miles on your CVT?

Reporting back at 123,000 miles. I'm on my 3 Rd set of tires, regular oil changes, I've changed the CVT fluid 4 times, flushed the coolant, flushed the brake fluid all scheduled maintenance, no drive train issues.

This is the 1st CVT issue I've heard of on the 10th generation Civic, overall they seem reliable.

How do you know for sure? Lot of civic customers don't reach out to the news outlets or post online. They get their fix from Honda and go on with their life.

How hard to change a cvt fluid?

Only pain is removing the air box to reach fill plug, 30 -40 minutes start to finish. I prefer to change engine oil and cvt fluid at the same time since the car is already on ramps and metal shield removed. I changed mine at 30,000 also when oil mm% was at 40%

Way easier on the 1.5T, no need to remove the air box.

Fuck. ME. I did 200 miles round trip for about a year a few years back and everyone thought I was mental.

Where all mental to some extent, my current commute is 140 miles a day.. I bought my 4door touring at 30k, over the last two months or so I now have 39k, hopefully I buy a house soon to cut it down to 6 miles round trip.

Any issues?

None, i might need to replace a wheel bearing soon and my auto locking gas door is making a loud grinding noise and wont lock anymore. Nothing wrong with drivetrain, but even so, honda gave some of us unlimited mile warranty for 6 years for the fuel dilution problem.

66,000 miles, about 45,000 with aggressive Ktuner Stg 2. It sounds great. CVT drivetrain seems to adjust power to the profile of the road to maintain speed just about perfectly.

45k so far. FBO + W1 + Flex + Custom tune. Daily driven, tracked, and taken to the drag strip multiple times and the occasional mexico pulls. Still going on strong.
