I'm trying to get an idea of how reliable these CVT's really are. I have about 75,000 miles on mine with some of them being tuned miles, although I'm flashed back to stock now. At one point, while tuned I started to notice this jerk and bucking at low speeds, under 30km/h. I'd slow down then try to speed up and it would lurch back and forth for a second before going smoothly. Did the transmission fluid change after the maintenance minder indicated and it made the issue go away for the most part. Maybe a month or two later the problem was back. I drove around normally and it seemed to get continuously worse so I reset the car back to factory setting. That fixed the issue again for the most part, but now it's happening again. I'll be taking my car to my mechanic to have him take a look, but he's recommending I go to the dealership because I still have warranty. Fingers crossed they don't say anything about the ECU reflash. I honestly doubt it was the tune because it's so conservative (It's the ktuner basemap for the 2.0L).
There's tons of threads on here with people complaining about this same issue starting back in 2016, so I'm curious how many are there that are higher mileage and still having the issue/got it fixed under warranty/transmission failed?
