CVT replaced at 17,000 miles because of a howling noise on light throttle near 25 mph. I waited 3 months before I brought it in - time for it to become loud enough to be really noticable. They called it a good will replacement, I called it a bad trans. If I remember correctly the paperwork said $3,300, I didn't pay a dime. I changed fluid on the new trans at 30,000 miles, fluid looked good, magnet had very little stuck to it.
3,300 is not much, I remember another thread were a US Honda dealership wanted 9,000 USD to replace the CVT.

So far nine CVT people with over 100k miles. I'm sure there are more CVTs on the forum who surpassed the 100,000-mile mark. Very impressive numbers.

2016 Civic 1.5T CVT
- still running
- all highway driving

@Timoty
204,000 miles
2016 Civic 1.5T CVT
- Needed a new transmission at that point
- On stage 2 flex fuel since around 100k miles

@Hondavader
180,000 miles
2016 Civic LX CVT
- daily highway driving
- had some problems at 90,000 miles

@89champ
150,000 miles
2016 Civic 2.0 LX CVT

@KKhountham
148,000 miles
2017 Civic 1.5T
- third owner with documented CVT fluid changes at 40k, 90k and 119k miles

@kyle_agronick
125,000 miles
Civic 2.0 CVT

@Civics4Ever
111,000 miles
2016 Civic EX-T
- Ktuned at 63,000

@BrandonSmith

@dallasjhawk

@heyitshogan
105,000 miles
2016 Honda Civic EX-T (stock)
- No major engine issues whatsoever besides a rear main seal leak. Normal oil changes based upon maintenance reminders and CVT fluid changed every 30-50k miles

7 months of ownership and 66,945 miles here. 50/50 highway and city driving. Regular schedule maintenance. No issues at all ?.

Seems like my 1.5 Liter engine, and the CVT is holding pretty well ?.

Ymmv but just a tip, ive always put the cheapest oil in my car as long as it is API certified and Dexos 2 over 260,000 miles now and if i have wear it isn’t noticeable by any means and if your not gonna keep your car for 200,000 miles than why bother with expensive oils? My car is an appliance for me, it will get replaced when i get a repair that costs more than the vehicle itself. So thats my point of view.

Wow that's a lot ?
How is that even possible, are you a full time Uber or Lyft driver?

I need almost ten years till I reach 67k miles.

No, i’m actually a Door Dash driver. But, yeah, that is a lot if mileage for a vehicle that is only 7 months old.

260,000 miles on that 2016 Civic?! Must be a new world record. With that being said already, Have you had any issues with the engine or tranny since then?

You put more mileage per month than i do on my vehicle! I havent had any issues other than the TSB for the grinding on startup noise when the car was new. Only issues i’ve had are worn out suspension components, zero drivetrain issues, and i was tuned for a short period of time as well.

I wondered how much farther you can go before the engine and tranny goes out on ya?

I think for my usage, i dont have a lot of stop and go traffic, so the transmission is at its optimal temperature, the fluids are staying warm, not as many cold starts so less wear on the engine i cant say for certain how long this car would last but ive heard of people putting close to a million miles on their vehicles with the original drivetrain, i believe honda made a good CVT its able to be tuned with out the CVT belt slipping so for normal usage i suspect it lasting many more miles. And if not the car has already paid for itself with how many miles ive put.
