Cleaning the engine bay

My engine bay is starting to look really dirty with dust and mud. Any tips on cleaning the engine and the area around it? I know there's tons of electronics in there, so I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks! Btw it's 2020 Civic sport.

Be sure to cover electronics before doing this

I wipe with a microfiber and dust crevices with detail brushes if it doesn't need a deeper clean

Well I certainly don't recommend washing the engine bay with the backside of a pickup truck.

Been thinking about cleaning my engine bay, but I would have to remove my cobra cold intake filter at least before I do it. I see some suggest Simple Green. Has anyone tried this product before? Supposed to be safe for the environment too. P21S Total car wash.

That looks more like a stain remover. I’d get a degreaser. I use CG’s orange degreaser and spray the entire engine bay and then wash away. Works great. I didn’t cover anything either. I just didn’t spray the fuse box much even though it’s well protected from water. I let my vehicle dry overnight before driving or starting again.
