  1. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Update: 04/09/24 My current mileage is roughly 187k miles. No real issues and everything appears to be okay. I’m currently waiting for the MAF housing conversion kit from PRL so I can go from the race housing to street and the 27Won TIP attachment to go along with it. I need to pass smog and...
  2. 2016 touring emissions and downpipe tuning

It might get rid of them. When my MAF sensor came loose all those alerts came on too, but it was only the MAF sensor. Plugged it back in and was good
  3. Highest mileage 10th gen

I’m at around 187k miles on my 2017 civic touring
  4. CVT Temp Readings are always the same, anyone else?

On tunerview disconnect from the KTuner device. Now unplug the device itself from the car and wait about 20 seconds and plug it back in. Then connect to tunerview and see the temp. It happens to me and this will give me the correct temp until randomly freezes up again.
  5. Best Tune for Flex Fuel with CVT?

Custom, DRob or Phearable. Both great.
  6. Is it too late to start modding my civic?

I don’t think it’s too late. I have 180k+ miles and it’s doing okay so far. Just keep in mind your rods are slightly weaker and if you’re gonna eventually push the car, the head lift issue is a real thing. Still not a reason to stop modding though
  7. Civic Touring gap Mustang

    Later!!:nixon:
  8. Need Help With Sputtering

Im going to guess and say it’s your head gasket. I had this exact issue a couple weeks ago and it was the head gasket. Car would sputter between 2-3k RPM’s then after the car got hot it went away completely. If I kept holding the pedal where it sputtered the engine light would come on and the...
  9. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Update: 11/18/23 My current mileage is 176,400. I noticed I blew my head a week ago. I think it has to do with the way I installed the ARP headstuds. I did it without removing the head. It was a slow leak on three cylinders. No overheating, didn’t get into the oil, and only had misfires...

  12. California For Sale: Type R Shift Knob, Planted Seat Brackets, Eibach Springs

Looks sweet! if you don’t mind me asking, where did you get them paint matched? The work looks good.
  13. ETL CVT Cooler

If I were you, just figure out where you want to mount it. The hoses are very long so you have a lot of wiggle room. It comes with two brackets to mount the radiator, but I ended up just using zip ties. When I tightened down the sandwich plate, I just kept turning and then used an impact wrench...
  14. ETL CVT Cooler

I haven’t had a leak. I just tightened it down pretty damn good. It does stick out a lot because it’s sandwiched but I don’t have any rubbing or issues with the PRL CAI.
  15. ETL CVT Cooler

What would you like to know? I’ve had it installed for a while now and it’s okay. The install was a pain and I have the radiator mounted behind the front grill. The way I have it mounted is very janky but it works
  16. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

I’ve beat a fair amount of cars, including chargers and challengers (345’s, so no that crazy, but still something, I’m looking to have fun with a 392 to see where I am). I just can’t do a 5.0, I think it’s their power to weight ratio. Chargers are a lot heavier so I can have fun with them.
  17. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

They’re pretty fun and surprising. I’ve surprised a lot of people on the road. Just the other day, I walked a type r (stock) and the dude was mind blown.
  18. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

UPDATE: 07/15/2023: Still going! Vehicle: 2017 Civic Sedan Touring - CVT Total tuned time: About 3 years? Total tuned mileage: Lost count, but over 100k, total mileage is 166k miles Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2 Tunes used: TSP Stage 1, Phearable 1.5, Custom tune by DRob. Currently...
  19. Cvt transmission temp observation.

Yeah, it gets loud when the temp is high
  20. CVT lower pan leaking

Is it leaking from the gasket or from the bolt? If it’s the bolt, it could be stripped and damaged and might need to be replaced.
