Update: 04/09/24
My current mileage is roughly 187k miles. No real issues and everything appears to be okay.
I’m currently waiting for the MAF housing conversion kit from PRL so I can go from the race housing to street and the 27Won TIP attachment to go along with it. I need to pass smog and...
On tunerview disconnect from the KTuner device. Now unplug the device itself from the car and wait about 20 seconds and plug it back in. Then connect to tunerview and see the temp.
It happens to me and this will give me the correct temp until randomly freezes up again.
I don’t think it’s too late. I have 180k+ miles and it’s doing okay so far. Just keep in mind your rods are slightly weaker and if you’re gonna eventually push the car, the head lift issue is a real thing. Still not a reason to stop modding though
Im going to guess and say it’s your head gasket. I had this exact issue a couple weeks ago and it was the head gasket. Car would sputter between 2-3k RPM’s then after the car got hot it went away completely. If I kept holding the pedal where it sputtered the engine light would come on and the...
Update: 11/18/23
My current mileage is 176,400.
I noticed I blew my head a week ago. I think it has to do with the way I installed the ARP headstuds. I did it without removing the head. It was a slow leak on three cylinders. No overheating, didn’t get into the oil, and only had misfires...
If I were you, just figure out where you want to mount it. The hoses are very long so you have a lot of wiggle room. It comes with two brackets to mount the radiator, but I ended up just using zip ties.
When I tightened down the sandwich plate, I just kept turning and then used an impact wrench...
I haven’t had a leak. I just tightened it down pretty damn good. It does stick out a lot because it’s sandwiched but I don’t have any rubbing or issues with the PRL CAI.
What would you like to know? I’ve had it installed for a while now and it’s okay. The install was a pain and I have the radiator mounted behind the front grill. The way I have it mounted is very janky but it works
I’ve beat a fair amount of cars, including chargers and challengers (345’s, so no that crazy, but still something, I’m looking to have fun with a 392 to see where I am). I just can’t do a 5.0, I think it’s their power to weight ratio. Chargers are a lot heavier so I can have fun with them.
They’re pretty fun and surprising. I’ve surprised a lot of people on the road. Just the other day, I walked a type r (stock) and the dude was mind blown.
