I just did my 1st 1/8 mile drag and it was a blast. That being said, my wheel hop was insane. My question is, could the wheel hop have been a blessing in disguise? If I upgrade my RMM, will I break an axle or are they pretty solid?

Good question. Broken axles are not something seen very often, I don't think it needs to be an immediate concern for you.

An RMM is certainly a good idea. Wheel hop is just as harmful to the drivetrain as dead hooks are. The transmission will likely break before an axle, but without a moderate amount of power I wouldn't expect either to break unless you're on launching on slicks, or the car experiences enough wheel hop.

I would stay away from the strip - all it will do is destroy drivetrain components for nothing.

Get a racebox and time your 60 to 130, 140, 150+
Less variables and much much easier on your clutch/trans/axles
