hi
I am picking up my Ctr this weekend , but I live in Canada . And it is cold. I also live on a island , so everything here needs to be shipped ,

I am thinking of dropping snow tires on right away.

Has any tried fitting the OE Acura MDX / zdx rims .? They are one of the rare Honda’s with the same bolt patterns,
I can aquire a set of 18x8 from a mdx quite quickly . I am just looking for feedback
I would probably go 235/45/18 .

Thanks

I don't know if they'll clear the front brakes...but please let us know what you find if you're able to do a test-before-you-buy fitting.

well, worst case scenario, i'll put them on my MDX.
it is not ideal for me to lift 2 cars in the snow.. i wish i had a garage...

i am guessing it shoudnt be too much different from all the other users running 18x8 wheels?

I think the only difference, or question, is how much offset the MDX runs. I'm sure it isn't +60 like the CTR, so it's a matter of how much wheel poke you're cool with-
I'm curious to know as we have an MDX also! It would be great if I could 'pass on' my winter wheels to our MDX if I ever get bored with them and want others-

Off topic but did you have a MR2 before?
Yes, i had an AW11 and Sw20

My R will be ready for pick up this week. i am just a little unhappy that it is being dropped in winter.

Which wheels did you have? and what size spacers did you use?
I plan to use this one

Sorry, it was a few months ago and I don't remember the exact design. We did not try spacers as it looked like 10mm would be needed, which means stud replacement and that the resulting offset would push the tire way too far out for the CTR front suspension's design (IMO).

AFAIK, there is only: http://www.civicx.com/threads/honda...-tire-package-will-cost-5k.16524/#post-302582
