Of all the things people bash on the car, the volume knob thing is one of the silliest things. The steering wheel buttons are what I use almost exclusively.
I hear you. I never use the volume controls on the dash.

I also don't understand peoples issue with the A/C controls. They complain it doesn't change fast enough...does for me, no need to switch it out for that dash with a knob on it imo.

nah, one less thing I need imo...I'd be going to fast to sense anything :D
yea, it can be pretty noisy...I drive my mom's Lexus sometimes and that think beeps all the time

EDIT: on the volume knob note, I like to have one, but I've gotten use to just simply swiping up or down to quickly turn up or down the volume.

My wishlist for a type r. Grand touring version
Tuned for 90mph instead of 124mph.
I don't track, just want a enjoyable driving experience on a daily commuting level.

- replace rear wing with si wing
- remove rear fake vents
- 18 or 19" rims with 40 profiles is plenty. Pilot sports works
- replace front seat with si bucket seats (heated)
- update info system. Separate climate controls
- keep same engine, trans, suspension, steering
- sunroof would be nice, but okay if not there
- reduced radio to basic, going to go after market anyways
-$30 MSRP with destination

Waiting for this or redesign of Acura ilx type s which should share many components with type r..... guessing about 34k
I’m in agreement.
1. I like my SI seats, have just enough “flare” I don’t need red seats...I think red seats are a bit much...makes me think of a teenager...”red seats make my car go faster”.
2. 20s are too big, 18-19s.
3. Offer a sunroof....gotta offer a sunroof.

I'm a little shocked at all the requests for a sunroof. Those add weight and change the way the chassis feels and, to me, seems counter-intuitive to the intended purpose of a Type R.
yea, that big hole will really loosen up the Type R chassis...not desirable

I was curious so I checked out if EVOs ever got sunroofs and they did, but on models that had leather and other such things, like MR Touring and SE models. And when they did that, they ditched lightweight aluminum roofs for steel roofs, at least on the X, which added more weight at the very top of the vehicle. It's a grand touring feature, sure, but despite the R's nebulous "touring" designation, it's not a GT car by any stretch.

Did you actually think the Type R would go up in value as a collector car?
Remember it's a mass produced Honda, not a Ferrari, Pagani or Porsche.
On a positive note, at least the Honda won’t depreciate at the rate a Porsche will. CTR will always be worth something.

I just placed a deposit for a 2019 CTR. The sales person said there is only one model. I think the picture posted prior is for an Si or maybe a late 2019/2020 base CTR. The car is also going to remain FWD.

And really, who actually uses a sunroof? I've had a few cars with sunroofs and I've used them exactly once in each one - "Oh, look. A sunroof." After that, I don't even slide the screen back ever again.
