Nice build so far! I agree with many of your current mods.

You showed a pic of the door armrest wrapped in leather. I cannot find those anywhere.
Do you have a part number or any insight?
Thanks

Installed the Mugen push start button today. Ive had it for about a month, but kept delaying installing it since I thought it would be way harder than it was. 20 minutes even with being careful was all it took.

How I installed it:

-Pop off the trim piece holding the push start button. You dont need to pull it out all the way, just enough to get your fingers behind it (forgot a picture here but see the next part)

-The easiest way to see how to unclip the button is to look at your new one. Youll see where the clips are and where you need your fingers to be at to unclip the old one. Its a bit of a finger gymnastics, but youll get there. Once it unclips, gently pull it out

Looking good! I've seen others swap out for the leather interior parts and I'm really leaning towards doing it myself as well. Thanks for the part numbers!

The Motivx Tools funnel is great for oil changes if anyone needs a better funnel solution.

Ive been crazy busy with work lately so progress has been slow, but Ive been shopping on the side so I’m ready when things settle down which should be in a few weeks. Stuff waiting for install is PRL Intercooler, Whiteline Front Camber Kit, SPC Rear Camber Arms, Eiback ProKits, Whiteline Front Endlinks, Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines, EBC Yellowstuff brake pads, and Motul RBF600 fluid.

I also signed up for my first HPDE day which is coming in two weeks!

Nice update coming here...

Over the 4th of July weekend, I carved out some time to start tackling the backlog of parts I have to put on. I left the suspension alone for now and installed the PRL Intercooler, Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines, EBC Yellowstuff brake pads, and flushed/filled with Motul RBF600 fluid. The brake parts were all easy installs and I didn't run into any problems there, other than having to buy a flange wrench for the brake line installation. The PRL Intercooler was all in all pretty straight forward, but definitely something you would want a helper for, and make sure you set aside a decent amount of time to install it. There's a lot to remove/install and a few portions where you have to test fit, adjust, test fit, etc to make everything fit nicely. But man, this thing is beefy and you can really see how much additional cooling potential there is over the stock IC. While I had the front bumper off, I also cleaned and re-oiled the PRL Cobra intake filter.

I really wanted to get that all done as I had my first HPDE day today! I was scheduled for 4 sessions (2 morning, 2 afternoon), but unfortunately ran into issues on my second run. When I came off the throttle to do a 3rd -> 4th shift, I heard a rather loud pop and had an immediate loss of power. I pulled the car into the pits and found the Intercooler piping to the throttle body had broken the hose clamp and come off. Well simply fix right? New hose clamp, reinstall the line and all should be good. Well.... now the car has a very odd sounding noise when coming off the throttle in boost. Before, it would have a nice crisp clean "blow off" and now it sounds more like a cough (terrible description but best I can think of) and it sounds like its coming from the intake area of the engine bay. I haven't had a chance to dive into it further than a quick 20 minute look at the track, I'm hoping its just another loose connection. I'll dive into it more this weekend.

Now, thoughts on the track experience:
1) If you have even the slightest desire to try out a track day, DO IT!! After today, I can't believe I have waited so long to try it out! It was honestly one of the best car related experiences I have ever had and it really makes you appreciate what your car is capable of. The Si was way above and beyond what I could have ever imagined, and I know being a complete track novice that I wasn't close to pushing it to its real limits. This is definitely something I hope to continue doing in the future.
2) The Si even of stock tires and mostly stock suspension felt incredible. Again, I was in the beginner group so I certainly wasn't pushing the car too hard but it felt great through every corner and the new brake set up ate speed like it was nothing. I couldn't be happier about how the car responded to everything I did.
3) No matter how good of a driver you think you are, the track will quickly show you how much you have to learn. Its pretty neat to see how much faster you get just from refining your racing line and turning in at the proper points.
4) I can't wait to go again and hope I don't break the Si next time haha

Thats it for today, I hope to get the rest of the suspension stuff done by the end of summer, and an exhaust during the Fall/Winter. In the meantime, I need to figure out what's causing that odd noise and keep enjoying the car for now!

As I look back on the previous posts, one thing that is ever present is life getting in the way of all of my car plans, haha. In September I was seconds away from trading in the car for an E92 M3 but chickened out at the last moment. For a while, I kept searching for a new car to jump into but between supply issues and the current car market, I never made a move. Still have all of the suspension parts to lower the car that need to be installed, hopefully in the coming month or so.

Another minor maintenance update for today, I changed the MTF with Amsoil Synchromesh over the weekend. Nice and easy job if anyone wants to try it themselves, and the shifter feel improvement is immediate and great. Love how smooth it feels now.

The Si is now sitting at 32,676 miles a month over its 3 year anniversary with me. Still no major issues, everything has been great!

In the last post, I mentioned a strange noise I was getting from the intercooler/intake. I searched high and low and found nothing wrong at all, I think its just the change in sound with the newer intercooler that threw me off for a while, all is good on that end.

Next steps: lower the car, full spring detail and reapplication of ceramic coating
