I've never thought of that, but this is currently my daily and I'm not looking for anything crazy. Might go down that road in a few years though once I get a bigger turbo. My original goal was to get to 300hp reliably, and since e85 isn't readily available for me anymore that might just do the...
I found it. I had my MAF scaling page in KTuner too crowded and the graph I had covered up the MAF Quick Calibration drop down, which has an option for "27WON RACE MAF Calibration". Set up a new tune from scratch, added this and took a few slow trips around the neighborhood. Trims look ok, but I...
I want to tune down the high idle on cold start. I've had some issues with the neighbors not liking my exhaust. Before I had the Phearable tune I was just running a basemap with some specific idle parameters that kept it quiet for the cold start.
Apologies, I was just being really high level, but yes, you're correct. I originally had the standard off the shelf stage 1.5, then reached out for the revision tune with my intake, race MAF, TIP and exhaust changes. I am really happy with the results, they just don't do any other kind of...
HP academy is one of the first places I thought of, I'll look into it.
I already asked Phearable if they'd change some other values for me and they said no. They even have their new customization service but it's only if you add new parts and want them to check the tune.
5/8/2023 update:
62k miles and still going strong I've been tuned in some form now for probably 40k now maybe? Most recently with the Phearable stage 1.5 tune and the 27WON race MAF. They removed E85 from what feels like the whole state of Utah, so I'm stuck with some Chevron 91 or VP racing...
Part of it is just learning. Resources are rather limited as far as learning how to tune without paying a school to do it, which I may do someday, but am not in the position to do now.
Yes, everything is running just fine now and that's great. I'd like to set my idle parameters a certain way...
Sorry for reviving an old thread - I just got a 27WON race MAF about a month ago and paid Phearable to get an update to the stage 1.5 tune I already had to accommodate the race MAF difference. Works great but since their tune is locked I can't do anything else with it. Would you be willing to...
Changed my spark plugs today at about 49k miles. Wasn't having any issues, but wanted to get some new ones in there and see what the used ones look like. Got the exact same NGKs that were in it, and made sure to check that the numbers matched when I took the old ones out. Do these look ok? No...
I have a catless DP and swap out the stock cat between emissions tests, but I'm nervous about getting caught. Anyone ever get busted running catless? What happened, just a fine? Impound?
I'd like to get one of the high performance cats out there, but only if it doesn't require disabling the CEL...
I have the Phearable Stage 1.5 in Utah, and we only have 91 here. There's one station that carries E85, so sometimes I'll at 1.5 gallons or so. With our tanks 1.5 gallons of E85 + 11.5 or so of 91 will be the equivalent of 93. I get .49 KCon pretty consistently when doing that. If I just run...
I only have 91 Octane where I live, so I put 1 to 1.5 gallons of E85 into my tank every now and then. Lowers my k.Con levels from .6 to .49 and it seems to run better.
Got some extra cash for my birthday so I sprung on the Acuity short throw adapter, shifter base bushings and rocker upgrade parts and installed them this morning (5/29/2022). Took it for a driver and there's a noticeable difference. It's going to take a bit to get used to the shorter shifting...
I was changing my oil a few weeks back and noticed that a good bit of my intercooler Fins are all bent. It's just the stock one and I'd like to get an aftermarket one at some point but don't have the cash at the moment. How bad is this? There hasn't been a noticable drop in performance or crazy...
Making a note here that I purchased the Phearable Stage 1.5 tune and flashed it today, 1/11/2022. Went for a drive and the difference is noticeable over the basemap I've been running for about 9 months now.
