This morning we drove from PA all the way up to Albany NY Lia Honda to pickup my 2021 CTR. It only have 3 miles on the clock. The process only took like an hour, probably my easiest buying experience ever. The CTR SGP looks great in person and I got a lot thumbs up on the way home. On their lot, they have a LE and the asking price is $70,000! It just make me feel I got a really great deal. :spaz:

ADM of $25k should be grounds for at least a few centuries in one of the danker parts of purgatory.
I agree but even worse is the buyer that pays that $25K. As great as the CTR is, it's not $70K great.

Yeah 70k and they got it sitting outside right next to some construction....
Nobody ever accused a dealer of being bright. Devious maybe but that's about it. lol

Once again, I think the MSRP on the LE is even too high for a civic. $40k is the cap for what I am willing to pay for a civic, when you go north of $40k or even into the $70k range, there are so many other nicer options. Bottom line is that CTR is awesome in the $40k price range but it will lose the competition in the $40-70k market.

Thank you! Drove 250 miles back to PA, it’s amazing. The boost is so noticeable. I didn’t expect the CTR accelerates that fast going 70 mph in 6th gear. My only dislike is the wheel, I wish honda went with 18 or max 19” wheels.

Congrats, have SGP 2019 myself. Do the entire length of 88 to Albany and back a couple times a month, really nice stretch of road and not a ton of traffic. Right lane can be a little rough up past Oneonta but the left is not so bad.

Fantastic car, roll on power on the highway in 6th is fantastic. Wait till you can really put the right pedal to the floor...

Congratulations. Beautiful car. The irony is that the non LE is actually the better car?

What did you pay for yours? I ask directly, I can never understand why people keep that stuff a secret. I paid $2k markup for my CW CTR back in 2018 when they had a $10k markup on it, talked them down in California. Happy with my car to date.

Wait for break in before punching much - also with turbo cars never do high load - low RPM's - best to downshift even though 6th has some juice imo would be better for car to be in 5th / 4th. But def wait for breakin then start hooning!

Car drives like car worth 100k imo.

The dealership asked $5k markup initially, I offered MSRP cash and they agreed 5 mins later. I think some dealers just try to give it a shot and see if they can find some stupid and/or rich folks are willing to pay the $25k markup on LEs.
Paying $10k markup might be acceptable, but $25k markup bring it to $70,000 which is directly competing to M2C. I’ll get the M2C over CTR every time if they cost the same.

It hard to control myself not to go over 4000 rpm for the first 1000 miles. I can’t wait to floor it.

Congrats, very cool. I'm jealous, I always wanted to take delivery with the steering wheel wrapped in plastic, seats wrapped in plastic, protective foam on the bumper, door edges, etc. like you got, I think that is the way every car should be made available for the buying customer and not stripped off by the dealer's possibly (some might say definitely) sloppy/clumsy PDI squad. Both my CTRs that I bought did not come this way since the dealer pulled it off. Paint you got looks so flawless and perfect - no need to have the dealer wash it. Congrats again
