How much faster? Also, did Honda Sensing add a bit of weight?
Can't say, there should be some magazine tests coming to quantify that. Overall weight is basically maintained from previous years.

If you download the honda brochure it shows the refreshed SI. They seem to have honda sensing now and just like the last one the hatchback bumpers

Thanks for the update. I think most of these give what I was hoping for (Honda Sensing and the LEDs etc) though they could have went a little further on the rear bumper treatment on the sedan. I feel they just kind of took the cheap way out to modify the "plastic style piece" instead of the actual bumper. Overall though, it's good enough and I definitely can now plan on getting one of these in the Spring when I get in the market. Curious to see how the active enhanced engine sounds as well as the new final drive ratio. I do prefer the previous wheels though than these black ones.

Why'd the gas mileage have to drop :(
That's probably a good thing. Maybe they tuned it a bit more for performance than economy. I'm hoping for a reduction in rev hang etc. They did modify the final drive ratio for better acceleration so hoping it means it really does feel faster. Should be interesting to see some reviews when it's out.

Definitely the final drive for starters. But it's possible the EPA revised their fuel economy estimates. I've seen revised numbers on other trims that haven't seen any changes to weight or wheel diameter/width.

How does adding engine sound to the audio system work? Just overrides your music or what? I'm new to hearing about this as a feature.
It probably works much like the Hyundai Veloster and Volkswagen GTI. Just look at the video reviews of those. Hopefully it is something that can be enabled or disabled on the infotainment like you can on those other cars.

Pumping engine noise into a cabin is completely faulking rediculous. This is a total embarrassing mess!!!
Honda kinda had their hands tied. People want a more pronounced engine note and turbo four poppers just don't much noise.

If you turn off the Honda Sensing functions, do they stay off or do you have to turn them off every time you start the car?

The fuel economy can afford to slip a bit. It is truly absurd how good the Si is on gas. My daily commute is just under 100 miles roundtrip on the NJ Parkway for about 90%.

Part of me wants to know how hard it would be to install the new final drive gear into my '17. I certianly believe it could make the car feel quicker, especially second gear. The final drive gear on our car is already 4.11, I wonder what the new one will be?

On the other hand, once you get out of first gear, a tune is all you need to make the car be faster and retain the great milage.

Everything else I can live without.

The bumpers appear to be the same. 16-19. So it looks like you can switch out the fake vents if you dont like the added color bar. For the front you would need to get it from a hatchback with foglights and honda sensing. The rear fake vents can come from any 17-19 Si.

For the record, they do not look good in person.
