Yeah it's tough. Mine were never all that concerned with me, mostly the other lunatic drivers out there. The Si's super light clutch really comes in handy in heavy traffic.
I had an '18 Si coupe when I was 16 too. It was my dad's but I have about an hour commute to school so it made sense for me to drive it. The Si definitely carries some solid high school parking lot cred! It's too bad this school year got axed because now I can't drive it anymore :(
I've noticed that my rear deck is not working on my 2020 si. It sounds like the speakers are underwater. If I reboot the head unit they come back to life until I turn the car off. The only thing I can think of is that the issue may have started after I changed to the alternate skin on the...
Looks like it's from October of 2016. I would have believed that information back then, but with the MMC not happening until MY 2020, I doubt it'll be that fast.
For the people noticing the smells, check for a little bit of oil on the weird shaped plastic intake tube near the dipstick. Mine had a little puddle there and I'm guessing it came from the pre-delivery checks.
I know right! The only things I've heard are along the lines of them not wanting to make any radical changes because of the huge success of the 10th gen.
Interesting... Nonetheless, there should be some kind of info on the 2020 type R and not too much longer before we see stuff about the 11th gens. My family members involved in this stuff at Honda have been hush hush.
It's really hard to believe the 10th gen is coming to an end, but I think some people are ahead of themselves. Wouldn't the 11th gen be at least a 2022 MY? Also Honda might phase the Si and Type R in later like they did in 2017.
Another small thing I noticed is that the boost gauge goes all the way up to 20psi. I can’t speak on the 19’s but my 18 only showed it going up to 14psi.
That's what happened with my 2018. Over time I just got used to feel and started to like it. Unfortunately my Si is a Honda associate company car so any modifications are a big no no. Otherwise I'd be in the front of the line for Armsoil and a tune.
It's not loud at all in normal mode. I can only hear it when on very smooth pavement and in the mid rmp's or on heel toe downshifts. I have to say the shifter feels much better as well. No more notchy feeling in the even gears! (for now)
After putting some more miles on it today, I've noticed a few more things.
It smells like burnt popcorn when I get out of the car. I'm certain that it's just new parts getting hot for the first time. The "active noise control" is engaged in both normal and sport mode, It's just turned up a...
