Hello I'm looking to get mudguards / splashguards

I live in Canada where there is so much slush and snow for 6 friggin months so I was wondering if you'd recommend the 25$ plastic rally armour ones or should I get the 100$ polyurethane? Is there any risk of damaging the bumper if there is a lot of snow I need to drive through? I have winter tires on so I havent gotten stuck in the snow yet! FWD I like it for this reason.

I just got my Rally Armor set and it was nearly $150. I feel like an ass for spending so much but they do look nice lol

I heard the cheaper ones break easily. I'd go with the PU ones, with the number of times I crunched my rallyarmors on something I don't regret it although it does feel too expensive.

I got the Rally Armor PU ones, like $140 through autoanything with the discount, but they are very high quality. The mounting brackets for the back are quite nice as well. The fact that you use factory holes and even some of the factory screws is also great as you can take them off and no one would ever know the difference.

I'd spend the money and get the PU ones. Not going to break, especially with all the snow, slush and ice. I'm in upstate NY, so basically south Canada... same crap here. I felt the plastic would break. Hell I kicked out my wheel well on my old 10th gen sport hatch and cracked the black trim - plastic gets very brittle in the cold.

Aren’t the cheaper ones a “Universal Fit” where as, the more expensive ones are a custom fit with predrilled holes?

You have the 2 choices whether you go universal or custom fit

As a fellow Canadian you summed it up by stating how long our winters can be.

Short term outlay for longer term protection. The Rally Armour Flaps work amazing. Got them on both Civics.

Brace yourself because in Canada they will run upwards of $280

I did a DYI rally armor modification. I didn’t like how large the flaps where and couldn’t get myself to spend the 160$$$ on my hatch sport for flaps.... smh, took the universal ones and modified them to my liking. I did this because I wanted something similar to the ZL1 guards which only have the front pair only which kind of sucks because I wanted the back as well. the Type R does come with the front and back at a reasonable price. So here is what I have done so far.. I will post the fronts when completed tomorrow

Here’s an update and finish the fronts. Was a lot easier to do these in the back. I decided to take out the plastic clip at the top where you see the now placed automotive Bolt. I went to Home Depot and looked for different types of screws as well as bolts to try and match the OEM but couldn’t find anything that I liked. Decided to go with this bolt with a speed nut. Turned out pretty good I think total cost $27 and some time. Please let me know what you guys think any suggestions?

Cool, I just bought some $22 universals and I'll start messing with them this week. Thanks for the idea!

Also.... Made in USA, Germany, China, Taiwan or Thailand. LOL, that about covers it. Is that the new thing!?!? Is that even legal?
