I'm getting a new 2017 Honda Civic Sedan EX-T manual and I'm replacing the wheels for either Enkei GT7 18X8 inch wheels, (gunmetal painted) or Enkei EDR9 18X7.5 inch wheels ( black painted). The tires will be the same for both wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (W- or Y-speed rated) 215/45ZR18. Will this set up work?

Either will work - it's a conservative fit.
Not sure how you can say that since he didn't post the offset of the wheels.

The 18x8 might be a tight fit depending on the offset. Anything more then +35 might rub at full turn.

... because I know that those Enkei wheels don't come in low offsets. The EDR9 comines 18x7.5" 38/45mm and the GT7 comes in an 18x8" 40/50mm". ;)

Pretty sure I've read somebody on here doing 18x8 with +45 had rubbing issues in parking lots.

You work at a wheel place. I find it hard to believe you'd recommend somebody to up diameter and width, but not get a lower offset. OEM wheels are +48 iirc.

I actually didn't recommend anything, I just said he woudn't have issues - which he shouldn't.

We've done that set up more than enough times without issue, even TireRack.com (who is the super conservative on fitments) says it'll work.

I'll just get EDR9 to play it safe so that I don't rub. Also, what do you guys think of the tires? I know that all season tires aren't as good when compared to summer tires (at least that's what people say), so are these a good choice for going through sharp turns and just acceleration in general?
