Swapped 2019-2021 Head Unit Screen into 2017-2018

Did this fix some of the annoying bugs that are present with the older head unit? A lot of times when using CarPlay the audio gets crossed and music comes through on the phone channel, which is a) very loud and b) absolutely awful sounding. Does the same thing when using Siri to read messages. Also, sometimes the music plays through my phone for whatever reason instead of speakers. This head unit is so annoying

Doesn't fix any of the software issues. You're only changing the display.

Any specific screen protector you are using? or was that more DIY

I bought a screen protector from Amazon and I used cheap 50% vlt tint. More of a DIY.
