Currently, I'm using the Carlinkit wireless adapter. It works 'better' than wired...except...it doesn't always connect, but more often by far than stock, and the one REALLY irritating thing...every time you do a text, it advances to the next song, as well - regardless of how far into the other song you were. I guess there are pros & cons to everything.

It doesn't require an adapter. The phone is connected to the headunit thru the carlink app. The connection is pretty stable and no other issues so far.

Really good question.
My wife has a 2018 Accord. She uses CarPlay every time she's in the car.
The unit has been flawless since she bought the car new 4 years ago.

I have the exact system, the issue I’m having is I no longer have brake pressure acceleration % gauge, no media l, no km/mph
,no g force, no shift light, and CarPlay disconnect intermittently l, and today audio just drop out for no reason

One AirCon button configuration is not supported.
Cars with amplifier are not supported.

While I don't know for certain, Joying website suggests that Type R has an amplifier - see lower screenshot.
