So, is there any way to start the car then walk away and go inside and be able to have the car locked? I can get it started and it beeps at me 4 times however I cannot get it to lock if I walk away, any way to achieve this?

you have to use the key in the FOB
Right. The physical key. At least if it's open the manual trans is a theft deterrent. Still not recommended though.

Right. The physical key. At least if it's open the manual trans is a theft deterrent. Still not recommended though.
If the door is locked they're going to break the glass to gain entry. No?

Doubtful, I don't think the car will let you drive without keyfob being within 32" right?
I highly doubt that's the case. What happens if your fob dies while you're driving down the interstate?

Doesn't the Si have the remote start on the FOB? Just press the lock button and then hold down the remote start button.

It doesn't (at least in the states) because it's manual Transmission only.

I highly doubt that's the case. What happens if your fob dies while you're driving down the interstate?
if that were the case, then the car would still drive normally, but once turned off, the car would not start again.

When I purchased my Si, the salesmen went to put gas in my car while I still had the keys. He called a few minutes later to have someone run the keys out to him after he turned it off..
