I parked like a dummy and curbed the front lip on my Type R.

Is this repairable, or should I just spend $200 and replace it?

I was reading about sanding it down and what-not, but not sure if it's worth the effort considering the damage (see pic).

If you buy online I’m sure you’ll be hit with a big freight fee that’s worth more than the lip itself buy from the dealership they don’t charge for shipping

Doubt it's repairable. And even if it were, it would be cheaper to just get a new lip and put it on.

I like the ones from asia cause they have a faux cf lip on the glossy side.

Maybe wrap it with carbon vinyl.

I scraped mine last year and ordered one from the local dealership the next day. It was around $180. It was sitting in the garage for over a year, and I just installed it last month when I was installing the springs. It bothered me so much in the beginning that I ordered it right away, but as time goes, I kind of forgot about it and took me a year to put it on lol.

I would be interested in picking up someone's used/scratched lip as it's just a matter of time before I'll scratch mine. That way, I can put the virgin lip away and re-mount it when I sell the car.

Does the OEM lip come with the red pin stripe sticker? Also another cost if you're going to replace the lip.

Yeah I was thinking that as well. Just ordered some, will see how it turns out.
You’re better off buying a new lip from Honda. They’re actually not that bad priced. CollegeHillsHondaParts has it for $283 and I think their shipping within the US is either free or pretty cheap. I’m more than sure you can find it cheaper than that if you search and shop around.

The CF wrap might look bad on the lip- the lip has tons of bends and angles and filling the groove where the pinstripe is will be near impossible from keeping it from lifting over time. Also add road debris in gravel, I don’t think it’s worth it.

Yeah I don't expect it will turn out great, but the vinyl wrap was only like $10 so I figured I would at least try...and then probably just go buy a new one :)

I think it comes with the pin stripe already installed, but I'm not sure
