  1. 27won Race RMM

It's fairly hard-core, which is either a good or bad thing, depending on your perspective. I've been rocking my 90a for a couple years now, no regrets. Although sometimes the dash rattling gets slightly annoying. If you want that solid racecar feel, and really want to feel the car, it's...
  2. Titan7 Track Wheels : Civic Type R FK8

Yup, stock height. Sometimes I do rub going over bumps, but the AD08Rs I believe are a bit stiffer than the PS4s so you should be fine. When I bought my car it had 245/35 tires, so I've never driven the stock rubber bands. I've hit some good potholes and bumps though and other than rubbing...
  3. ownership neglect, how to approach maintenance

It's synthetic oil, it'll be fine
  4. Oil Analysis - 60k miles - 400whp FBO

I'm 98% sure 😂 I had a speed shop do it, but they only use Amsoil products and that was listed on the invoice, and I have no reason to doubt them. I'm 100% sure there's Amsoil in it now since I did it myself :)
  5. Oil Analysis - 60k miles - 400whp FBO

I decided to change my own oil and collect a sample for Blackstone to share. CTR is FBO, flex kit, custom flex tuned mostly running E30. Oil was Amsoil SS 0W-20, interval 6,500-7000 miles. No tracking, but somewhat aggressive street driving (at times). No major issues so far, went stock->FBO...
  6. Interested in purchasing a CTR 2018.

2018 here and never had an issue. Since switching to Amsoil MTF I've never had a single grind, even when I shift terribly
  7. 419,796 mile 2018 CTR - for sale in Long Island

Yep, I paid $29.5k on my 2018 with ~40k miles right before covid
  8. Ethanol on stock intank pump..

Interesting, thanks for the replies. Maybe I should go upgraded turbo first then, and HPFP/injectors later
  9. Ethanol on stock intank pump..

E30-E40 (stock in-tank pump), stock turbo, custom tuned. I know for sure a HPFP is the next upgrade I should do - I assume that alone should get me 430-440whp on E30. Problem with injectors and turbo is the labor cost of installing these parts - not convinced it's worth it for an extra 50whp
  10. Ethanol on stock intank pump..

So it seems like injectors don't make a big difference unless you upgrade the turbo as well? I was going to go HPFP/injectors and do a turbo later, but it seems like just doing the HPFP alone first is the best $/whp for now
  11. Ethanol on stock intank pump..

I'm currently at 400whp on FBO running E30. Am I correct in assuming that I would get to ~450whp with a HPFP, and then to ~500whp with both a HPFP and injectors? (as in, both HPFP and injectors are equally important upgrades)
  12. What kind of MPG are those of you getting with 450 - 500 WHP?

If driving normally, then it depends more on which ethanol % you are running. When running 93 (E10) I get ~32mpg, on E30 I get ~25mpg. If running E40-50, probably ~20mpg or less.
  13. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Vehicle: 2018 Civic Type R Total tuned time: 18 months Tuned miles driven: 12,000+ Tuning device(s) used: Hondata Tunes used: Custom flex dyno tune w/ @mikethetuner Fuel used: Rofo 93 + E85 blend (E30) Additional related mods: PRL HVI, PRL catted DP, PRL flex kit, 27won intercooler, 27won...
  14. I need some ethanol knowledge!

I've been running on 93/E30 blend for a year now, no issues at all. Highly recommend getting a flex kit and a full flex tune from a reputable tuner. I run E30 most of the time, unless the car is going to be sitting for more than a week or if I'm far from an E85 station and need to fill up...
  15. Best turbo upgrade for the money

Any details from the testing that everyone has been doing up until now?
  16. 27 WON motor mount: quick review

As someone who has been dailying the 90a for 1.5 years now, I keep thinking about this 😂 So far no major issues though, just a little rattling in a speaker
  17. Where to get / how to repair pinstripe?

Not super difficult, but it may take a few tries to get it perfectly rounded, just have to take your time. Also need to prep the surface well so it doesn't peel off.
  18. Where to get / how to repair pinstripe?

Use 1/4" for the body trim, and 1/8" if you want to do wheel pin-striping. I did both:
  19. Where to get / how to repair pinstripe?

Yup, I actually used Trimbrite which was just a few bucks (still looks great). That Oracal is almost certainly better quality.
  20. Who uses AD08R's on their daily driver?

I daily mine and I use AD08R as my summer set. Only used them for one season so far but they seem great. Took them on a road trip from Baltimore, MD to Huntsville, AL (and back) through some heavy rain and they did just fine, but obviously driving cautiously in those conditions.
