Mechanical to Digital Cluster Swap?

Deleted member 28465

So I have 2019 hatch with a digital cluster you think it’s possible to swap with a si?
It definitely should be possible, since your car already has the same setup cluster, the si’s basically just changes the color and has a stopwatch I believe

I installed digital cluster from 2017 EX hatchback on my 2018 LX hatchback. It works, exept I can't reset tpms(low pressure tire). And I decide to swap back to the original cluster.
Is it hard to pull out the cluster ? I want to change just the lenses

God... i was researching if this swap was possible and stayed for the juicy rudeness of people who have nothing better to do than be obnoxious to someone who was simply asking a question.

I've tried searching for threads in this forum. A lot of times, they simply don't come up unless you have an exact link. Some people don't think before they type some rude a$$ comments. Glad those guys got banned. Definitely deserved it.

It really cracks me up how some people freak out when it comes to removing trim pieces with plastic clips. Many of these cars had an airbag recall or something of that nature done to them and were torn apart before you ever saw the car. I sold my civic earlier this year and got a new 5.0 mustang, but I still check out the forums from time to time. What a good read this was ?

Thanks it's a blast. I still miss the civic at times but usually just when I'm trying to fit things in the trunk lol.

Hello
I am new in post
Actually i have a Civic 2016 Lx trim
And also i have the opportunity to perform a test of cluster swap

Until now i installed digital cluster in my car
Please see the results:

1 Lkas, acc and rest of EX advanced features are showed in lcd cluster as error
2. Tpms doesnt work
3. There is no option to move through cluster menu
4. Open door / trunk is recognized
5 acceleration is recognized
6 brake hold notification works
7 srs notification works
8 econ notification works
9 temperature and fuel indicator works
10. Shift notification (P,R,N etc) works

My next step is test with an EX steering wheel control and with harness that comes from steering wheel control to cluster (12 pins connection)

I share the image of the digital cluster installed

You need cluster no Honda sensing model, I have swapped successful, and to better result need swap audio controls too.

Hello Elvis, could you explain us more about your experience

I already have a cluster without sensing but I cannot control them, I cannot skip menus, etc

Thanks in advance
