Did you read the messages and keyed off the car before hitting OK?
Yes. I followed the instructions exactly. Still did not work, and option to unlock ECU is grayed out as well.

If you're absolutely sure that the member unlocked it from their ECU, and you're sure you locked it to yours, this is really odd.

Contact KTuner via email.

I contacted Ktuner, and they pointed out that the paired vin was not my vin. I have no idea how any of this happened. But now, I cannot tune, nor can I unlock the tuner again. I doubt I intentionally got scammed, maybe just a misunderstanding on the seller's party.

Nonetheless, I'm a full time student and cannot afford to take a hit on this.

Honestly, it does sound like the unit was still locked to the previous ECU. Did the seller have an Si?

Can you contact the seller and ship it back so they can unlock it?
I sent him an email and a couple of messages on here. Hopefully it was just a mistake. I'll wait until Tuesday, then I guess open a paypal dispute.

I looked up the VIN, and the car was traded in this month and is for sale. So he didn't intentionally try to scam.

Sadly, if the seller no longer owns the car, I doubt he'll be able to unlock the unit.

You're right, its an unfortunate situation, but I still am not responsible.
