that collar? its threaded on.
if that entire panel, as i recall it held by only 2 screws and was hard to pop off, but it takes maybe a special application of force either sharp or slow.

For those who have already installed, taking this part off is proving to be the hardest part. In the video I saw it comes off so easily but mine is like rock hard in there. Iā€™ve literally built a sweat trying to remove it. Any suggestions?

The shifter surround panel? It's held on by a screw on each side as mentioned above. After that, use a plastic prying tool and power of the FORCE.

14mm wrench and turn counter-clock-wise?
yea thatā€™s what I was using. I literally have no idea why itā€™s been so hard. I spent about 15 minutes on it and gave up. I made progress but it wasnā€™t coming off. Iā€™ll work on it again tomorrow morning, Iā€™ll post a video of I have too.

:( Put a drop of Liquid Wrench or WD-40 on the threads and wait 20 minutes. Good luck. Hope it's not cross-threaded.

Going to assume the collar has not budged either way? Must be seized somehow, time to cut it off, or some other methode to free it. Heat maybe?

I was thinking of doing WD-40. I can go to the dealership and get a new one if needed I donā€™t care about that but I need it to come off.

Finally got it in! Has anyone tried the second spring the Hybrid Racing short shifter comes with? Or any of the other adjustments?

The second spring included is a softer spring which feels closer to OEM.

Yeah like @Honda_Elite said itā€™s softer, they do have a 3rd spring thatā€™s stiffer, thatā€™s the one that I had requested but they didnā€™t want to sell me one.

i think that third spring is actually still being tested and isn't out for the public just yet.

Still waiting for that 3rd spring to buy. The shifter feels sloppy with a heavy shift knob currently.

i kept the stock shift knob and so far i've been liking it. let's see what the new spring does.
