Why do people expect the epb to turn on automatically for them, it never did before...

I can’t help but rofl when it says if the epb is not properly set and a parking gear not selected the car can roll away, pretty sure that is the case with every car ever made

Nope, I almost never use the parking brake on an automatic car - never once had one move. Have done it on a dozen rental cars.

WTH, if it came on automatically, there would be no need for a button. By the inclusion of the button, Honda is saying the car can roll away if you don't use it imo.
Someone pointed out that if the battery is dead and you can't get it off , that you aren't going anywhere, but what if you have an issue where the car can't be started and needs to be towed?
