Hi Everyone…I recently noticed noise coming from my front wheels and wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar issue. The noise happens at low speeds when turning in either direction and is a crackling sound coming from both front wheels. The only thing new with my car is I put on new wheels/tires this season. I didn’t notice the sound after I put on the new wheels/tires so I’m not sure if it’s the new setup or something else. My car has less than 8K with no other mods.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Sounds like a rock or pebble stuck between the brake rotor and the dust/heat shield.

I was able to press inward on the shield to create a larger gap (with my wheels still on the car) when I experienced this and a rock fell out, and the noise went away. Easy thing to try out.

Thanks! I’ll try that out…I thought it was strange that both wheels have the issue but roads here aren’t the best so rocks/pebbles would make sense. Appreciate the response!
