Which one is safer and for whom is debatable, the ROW crashbars simply have a part that's supposed to deform in an event of a light crash (such as a fender bender or a collision with a pedestrian), whereas the American crashbars are required not to deform.

I don’t see how they will know, even if the bumper is off it’s another oem part with a Honda sticker on it. It’s not like a aftermarket tube crash bar that would be super noticeable.
Ummm... When your insurance sees your car and goes "oh this isn't a US spec crash bar"

The appraisers are not idiots.

Were talking total here. Not like OP was rear ended or some small garbage.

I promise you any body shop/appraiser would be saying hmmmm something is off.

They would when they order the USDM spec part and it looks different than the one that's on there. They may not know every single part that's on the car from stock personally, but the Bodyshop would notice something is off.

They’d just assume the part number changed mid cycle and move on. They’re not holding up a job just to see why it’s a different part. Unless you go to Karen’s Paint and Collision

i have both and weighed both. The jdm steel one is 3-4 lbs heavier vs the USDM alum.

Nice! Thank you!

I figured this much once I saw how much structure it had behind it. I thought it was just that super minimal part sticking out. Oh well on to the next dumb idea haha
