Euro/ JDM spec front crash bar?

Looking at the new J’s racing front lip and noticed the crash beam. I know the USA typically has stricter crash standards so we get this massive beam.

I got to looking and it seems the touring spec of the euro/ JDM fk8 is about 25lbs lighter than our equivalent one. I imagine this is a nice savings and maybe the rear one too? I’ve taken the rear one off a USDM CTR and it’s just a giant heavy bar.

Anyone in Europe/ Japan able to find one of these off a wrecked one/ part out and ship it over? Interested in the rear too

Got on eBay EU and found this one from Germany. Looks similar to ours but still different? Cant find a Japanese specific one still.

Ahhh good call! Well that confirms the rear is lighter. US spec one is steel that one is aluminum.

Digging around more and seems Australia might have what I’m looking for too

The EU front crash bar looks the same as the Australian (this picture is from car which is EU LHD):

its basically all the same for all overseas model. Its just we get a much bigger beam here due to the crash standards like you said.

here in the states, the front crash beam is aluminum and the rear is steel which i believe is the case for cars overseas also. its just the dimensions are different.

That one I found on Germany EBay looks aluminum verus our steel one. Plus it looks to get better airflow for whatever it’s worth to cooling. Small saving but it all counts right?

If anyone cares I got to looking at Canada and they sell it either way. I can’t find a part number though but waiting on an email back and hopefully see if I can order them.

that same diagram can be pulled up here also (the ones that shows the overseas bumper support). Theres just no part number associated with it because its not applicable here.

would be nice if you can order it though. Would save you the hassle of shipping something so heavy and large down here lol.

just to give you an idea,
iirc brand new it was about 300,000 yen for the front and 275,000 yen for the rear and that didnt include the two side rubber ic shroud pieces which are like 9,000 yen each along with other misc stuff that might be needed like bolts (which i assume is the same but who knows)

I wonder if modifying the crash bar setup like that would cause any legal issues in the event of a crash

I have looked at a few US Honda parts sites and they don't even show those ones. Where in the USA are you finding them? I sent a message to a Canada Honda parts place waiting to hear back. If the price is way too high like I expect I'll just wait for one to end up on eBay. I parted out a 2017 CTR awhile back and man do those parts move fast.

The site i used to grab part numbers shows them. Hondapartsnow.
It just has no part #s.
