Awesome, glad you got it installed. I believe the hardest part of the whole install is fishing the wire for the heated mirror thru the damn mirror post 🤣🤣
Yea, I remember seeing that plug, that was my first thought for taking power from that instead of running wires through the doors.
My...
If I remember correctly, I believe I used the pin #1 (C128) for the switch on a new relay, and ran a seperate Ignition wire (for power) and ran both mirror wires (from relay) out to their respective sides.
I thought about just using the factory relay, but I didn't want to add more load to the...
I remember about 21-22 years ago, I was out driving in my 95 neon with my friends at night, I just merged onto the highway and within a min or two, a modded 2nd gen Integra pulls in front of me. I thought oh boy here we go.
So we cruise along and now traffic is starting to slow down a bit, and...
If you haven't already, I would take the inline fuse out or completely disconnect that 4g wire for now just incase it grounds out on something.
Hmm, well I'm not sure what else to say to try. Maybe clear all your codes, probe all your fuses (just for sanity) and try to start the car?? I know...
I would also say check the battery cables, if it were me, I would take the cables off the posts and clean both the terminals as well as the posts. Then wiggle both terminals side to side on the posts to make them get a good contact then tighten them down.
Electrical issues are a PITA. You would...
Have you done anything recently to your suspension or motor?? Did you forget to tighten up something when putting everything back??
Has this been happening for awhile??
Sounds like a loose/bad motor mount or suspension component. But it's hard to tell from video.
Yea that site has a lot of great information, it's been around for awhile.
Awesome, I'm glad you got it working. Yea, your harness is most likely different due to it having a sunroof, but you eventually got it there. I'm glad you tested the wires instead of just connecting into an unknown...
Ok, yea you could just use a regular 4 wire relay. You could wire it up just like this, but instead of "remote turn on lead" you would use door trigger "positive wire" and then run the wire from that 30 terminal to your LED positive wire.
I would check your footwell kit, to see what kind of input it requires (usually +)
I know on my kit, it has 2 separate inputs. One for illumination (when to turn on), and one for door trigger (to switch to white, when opening doors)
You usually just want them to turn on with headlights.
Yea, that should fix your problem. I'm surprised they haven't nailed down the harness problem at this stage in the game.
I believe it had to do with the different markets for Civics ex: USDM,JDM,EDM, as all have similar setups but different options.
I know when people first started getting this radio, the company had to ship out a different canbus harness to make everything work correctly. I'm not sure if they are still shipping them with the older harness though, but it's something to check into.
BTW, what trunk harness are you referring...
OK I see what your saying now. I don't have the unit, I'm just going off of the manual. I would check out 3 things then.
1) Make sure the display connector is seated properly at the back of display.
2) I would double check that your Oil Temp connector pins are inserted properly on the main...
Yea that "illumination" wire would most likely dim the gauge at night when you turn on your lights. So you would have to tap into your parking lights for that wire.
If I had that setup, I would prob try to use some thin 3m double sided tape to stick to wherever you want it.
I was always interested in trying to add the illuminated switches to the rear doors, but haven't done the research yet to try it.
Anything is possible with time & money (mostly money)😂
Front left Damper Solenoid
Current Characteristic abnormality
Something is telling your Ads unit that something is out of parameter. The sensor, solenoid, or ADS unit is reporting something outside the factory specs. Ex: let's say your shocks fully compressed and uncompressed are reporting (0...
You can lookup the code in the service manual that is sticked to the main fk8 thread here : https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/full-service-manual-for-civic-type-r-fk8.46273/
I would check out number 3.
