Needs a higher offset like 45-50 to run the correct size 255/40/18 tire.

I'm running 18x9.5 +35 on 235/40/18, stretched and lowered on D2.

No rubbing at all and yes lowering springs. Had to run stretch tires to prevent rubbing.
Not even on bumps? I’m seriously considering springs just hesitant because the chances of rubbing with my wheel set up

Unless it is a really hard bump. Even then it only touches it slightly. I've been driving with this setup for around 5k miles and everything looks good so far.
