Anyone else seeing this? At Cars and Coffee this past weekend we noticed all of our front emblems were cracked.

This is not isolated. Unless you just park it, it’s going to happen. It’s not a big deal now that the parts are for sale in America. Versus in the past where you had to buy real imported ones.

It’s definitely not ideal but it’s going to happen...what are you going to do. Only thing I can really think of is getting some type of clear thicker type vinyl and overlay it...probably something I will do with a new one when I get around to buying it.

The dealer could say it was stone chips on yours though of course...worth a try though

I have a crack offset to the center, and one on the outer right edge. I'm probably going to wait till it gets really bad before I replace it. But then the new one will get cracks as well...

Yeah I know. As a buddy of mine used to say about fishing lures, if you fish with it you’re going to lose it. Same with cars. If you drive it it’s going to get dinged. Why own a car if you don’t drive it though?!

Guess I was just surprised this happened. Never owned a car this happened to. You’d think they’d make it “harder”. Track Armour might be quick solution for quick protection.

I now have a cracked rear emblem. They’re not deep but like stress fractures.

I had my front one replaced under warranty, but it was the chrome H being crazed under the clear plastic, not the plastic cracked like that.. looking at the picture, it looks like stone contact, which can be argued it's not a manufacturing defect.
