  1. Fuel Pump Recall Now Available

I know that recalls are no charge, but I would honestly purchase the revised fuel pump and replace it myself for a piece of mind. The main reason is my car has a bunch of engine mods, as well as being custom tuned. I do not want a dealer technician messing with my car. Along with regular...
  2. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

Added some Mugen MF10s to the wheel collection a year ago...yet to be installed. 18x9.5 +45:
  3. Fuel Pump Recall Now Available

My 2018 Type R was the same case, now my VIN shows it under the updated fuel pump recall. I am most likely not going to bring my car in, because I am at 95K miles/6 years old, and my fuel pump has been fine. If it was bad, it would have failed already.
  4. Considering FK8 CTR

For stock suspension and height, 18X9.5 is the most common aftermarket size for the FK8. Ideal offset is mainly between +35 to +45. 18x10 is another size, but it is less common, with an ideal offset of +40 and higher. The Titan7s from the M3 fitment will definitely poke a bit.
  5. Considering FK8 CTR

Congrats on the car! Red definitely looks sharp! The stock tires are the Continental Sport Contact 6s. With the stock 20 inch wheels, and 30 profile tires, I remember feeling everything on the road as well, but also paranoid about damage from potholes. I have not driven on them for a very long...
  6. Squeaky noise when pressing clutch

The squeaking noise is from the clutch slave cylinder pivot points, or the clutch fork pivot ball inside the transmission. After a long time, the grease dries out. The clutch slave cylinder can be unbolted, cleaned, and regreased. For the clutch fork pivot ball, it is hard to clean it, but you...
  7. What did you do to your Type R today?

I want an EK9 so bad, but specifically a 96-98 in Vogue Silver Metallic. Impossible to find one. Did you import yourself? Or go through an importer?
  8. Tuning Help

I have driven roughly 50K miles on my custom tune by @D-RobIMW. No issues or hiccups whatsoever at all, I highly recommend him. I am e-tuned, and was not tuned on the dyno. The only thing I would recommend is to get all the mods you really want, and install them first before getting a custom tune.
  9. Calling All Higher Mileage CTR Owners

Yes, it has been super reliable as a daily driver. Have you had a chance to test drive one yet? When I was searching for one back in 2019, Honda dealerships did not allow test drives. So I went to a Carmax local to me that had a red one with only 600 miles on it. After I drove it, I was sold but...
  10. Calling All Higher Mileage CTR Owners

@ImportracerAM, my car is almost nearing 100K. Below was maybe a month or two ago: I am near 93K now, and the car has been solid since I owned it from 3,400 miles. My engine has been custom tuned on 93 octane since around 36K miles, and the mods I have are: drop in air filter, turbo inlet...
  11. Sumi the track toy build thread. plus BS thread!

Dang, I have not been in this thread in a while. Nice to see you went with a B-swap. If you ever come across a VTEC cylinder head (P72 or PR3), buy it for an LS VTEC conversion down the road. Did you ever figure out your wiring? On OBD2, the secondary O2 sensor does not affect fuel trims, it...
  12. Favorite Brake Pads......GO!

I did a brake job a year ago with new OEM Honda rotors and Dixcel ES pads. I ended up not being happy with the Dixcel pads (dust and noise), and switched to Brembo NAO ceramic pads. Not sure if the Brembo pads were really ceramic because they dusted a lot, and also made noise. I have since...
  13. What did you do to your Type R today?

Checked out a GR Corolla. It was nice, but the back seats and hatch area does not compare to the space the Type R has.
  14. Rear Brake Caliper

This is the way. I have done this three times with no issues, and at 86K miles, no issues with my e-brake engaging/disengaging, or any dash errors. When a thread comes up on a rear caliper/brake pad change, it is always a repeating story of a scan tool causing issues with the rear calipers, and...
  15. Best Tuners?

I am E-tuned by Derek Robinson from Innovative Motorworks. I have been driving on my custom tune for over 40K miles. Car has always ran smooth, never had an issue, hiccup, or check engine lights. I also pass my state emissions every other year with the custom tune left on it. I highly...
  16. What did you do to your Type R today?

Had some fun with a Yamaha R6 until I got c*** blocked by minivan
  17. Mugen Spoiler Problems

It seems the bolts for the base are too long, and pushed through.
  18. What did you do to your Type R today?

It seems like the dealer explained it to you backwards. Those look like the OEM Brembo front pads, and new Hawk rear pads in the pic. So your car currently has the new Hawk fronts, and old OEM rear pads on. The front calipers will not intiate brake error codes on the dash, they are purely...
  19. Starter

Check the clutch safety switch under the dash. Your clutch pedal engages/disengages it when you depress the clutch pedal. There is a chance the bump stop for it has worn out, or the switch has gone bad.
  20. Will this pass emissions? (Phearable)

Your catalyst monitors are basically turned off, and what that means to the emissions tester is that you do not have a catalytic converter (despite you having an RV6 catted downpipe). I am pretty sure that is an automatic fail.
