I would sure like to race an EX-T 6MT with my new Accord Coupe 2.4 6MT
Oh I know you are right, I am just curious by how much????The lighter 2015 coupe Civic Si has more power than your 185hp accord and the stock civic 1.5T is faster than both. Prediction all you would see is tail lights.

But the V6 has cylinder deactivation, and still gets about 5 less mpg. I won't drive an engine that shuts down cylinders. I can feel it missing. Just rubs me wrong.... I want all my cylinders, however many I got, running all the time.... if I need power, to kick some kids ass in a hopped up hyuandai, I just bring out the Coyote, works every time....1/2 sec 0-60.. or 44feet behind at 60mph. It's not a lot and the accord has more luxury feel and room. The v6 accord is about equal to a 1.5T stock with flashpro.
Coyote? I think the Roadrunner was always faster. But the V6 has cylinder deactivation, and still gets about 5 less mpg. I won't drive an engine that shuts down cylinders. I can feel it missing. Coyote is the name of Fords current gen 5.0L V8. 435hp, 400tq, 7000rpm redline, 4 variable timing cams, 32 valves, and no BS cylinder deactivationCoyote? I think the Roadrunner was always faster.
Having owned 2 Highlander's, if she had a 4 cyl, she was front drive only. The AWD's are V6 only. And my 2.4 Accord 6MT isn't even close to the V6 Highlander, even though it weighs 1000 pounds moreTotally smoked this lady in her 2.4L Highlander yesterday... she couldn't get traction even with AWD. Sad!
While I agree that the Accord would lose, it wouldn't be seeing 'tail lights' as you claim it. In fact, I'd assume that if the Accord is able to powershift perfectly, then it wouldn't lose by more than half a car's length. The 1.5T will smoke it in lower speeds but then the Accord has the advantage of having higher end torque and if its a MT it'd most likely get the most out of that torque. So not really 'seeing tailights'.The lighter 2015 coupe Civic Si has more power than your 185hp accord and the stock civic 1.5T is faster than both. Prediction all you would see is tail lights.
I have driven both the Civic 1.5mt and the Accord 2.4mt. The Civic definitely has more low and mid range thanks to the turbo. The Accord does pretty good at high revs, once the Vtec kicks in. I know the Civic would get the initial jump. But could the accord catch it on the top? I doubt it. But the rate of retreat would be slowed considerably once the Accord gets its revs up. Just keep the revs above 5000 and shouldn't be too embarrassed....While I agree that the Accord would lose, it wouldn't be seeing 'tail lights' as you claim it. Yes, my point was to establish the fact the Accord wouldn't be seeing tail-lights; which implies that it'd lose considerably in a race against 1.5T. It will lose but it will be close.I have driven both the Civic 1.5mt and the Accord 2.4mt. The Civic definitely has more low and mid range thanks to the turbo. Yes, I was agreeing with you. Shoulda made that a little more clear.... my bad...Yes, my point was to establish the fact the Accord wouldn't be seeing tail-lights; which implies that it'd lose considerably in a race against 1.5T. It will lose but it will be close.
