CarPlay/iPod Issue

All of a sudden I noticed my 2016 civic won't detect any phones connected through USB. I tried unplugging the cable and plugging it back in. I've also tried using another USB port with the same result. Bluetooth is working fine. If it continues I'll probably stop by the dealer to complain. I tried with an iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s with the same result. The USB port is working because it is charging the phone.

For anyone that might have this issue. I was able to reboot the head unit by holding the power for 5-10 secs and select yes to reboot. This fixed the issue for me.
