So I've had this happen twice now, in stop go situations. I have the break hold engaged. Suddenly, for some reason, the parking break gets activated without me noticing? Can someone tell me how this is happening so I can avoid it?

Did you take your seatbelt off?

Usually when I stop and take the car out of gear or shut it off with break hold on, it goes to the parking brake.

If you're stopped for more than 10 minutes, the parking brake will automatically engage when the Brake Hold feature is on. Also if the seat belt is unfastened, the engine is turned off, battery is disconnected, or if there is a problem with the Hold System.

The parking break disengages automatically anyway unless you do not have your seatbelt on.
