Backup camera issue

2018 civic Ex-L 1.5

I've noticed that when I put my car in reverse, the camera displays what I think is the normal brightness(plenty bright to see during the daytime imho) then after a split second, dims itself to less-than-optimal brightness. The only thing I've tried to do is a hard reset of the computer system but to did not resolve my issue. Thanks in advance for any and all advice!

GLWT OP might check your manual (sounds like and auto dim feature but could be wrong)- also did you mean to 2 threads for this?
