I got my clutch installed like 3 weeks ago, got the clutch masters fx400 OEM-DMF rigid cereamic. That's what PRL recommended because i have stage 2 tune from vitviper. still has some clutch chatter 1st and reverse gear. They said it will disappear once the clutch is broken in for 500 miles. still have 200 miles to go.
How heavy is the 400? Where is the engagement point ? Is it near the top or more closer to the floor, like 3/4 from the top?

i ordered the fx250 after making a bad decision with my supercharged RSX previously. i installed a stage 3 6-puck clutch and light flywheel and the car just became a chore to daily. so this time i went with the lowest stage that would hold the power.

Clutchmasters told me that the 250 will hold less than the 300 and 350 because of the type of disk it uses

their website says it holds the same as the fx300 and 350. guess it all depends on who you talk to.

Their information is very inconsistent.

Why not the 300 to 400 series? Because i was recommended the 400 with my setup and end goal for my build (but that's probably why).
Before you go with the 400 you should just be aware that it's lifespan is significantly shorter than OEM, whereas the 350 and below will get at least similar longevity to the stock clutch if not a longer lifespan. So if you're aiming at some crazy 400+ torque build just be prepared to be swapping that clutch out more often.

Just started my clutch install. Went with the FX350 and the lightened flywheel. Took about 2.5 hours to get the subframe down and axles out. Hoping to finish tomorrow afternoon.

(All done with Jack and stands/ hand tools)

After about 8 hours of work... Still can't get the transmission mated. It seems to get about a half inch to the block and the transmission doesn't want to slide in any further. Working on it more today to try and rectify the issue.

If anyone has any ideas please shoot away

How do the guide pins look? I would test them out in the block/transmission to see if there what's giving you a hard time.

That is quite the work you have going on there!! Would be much helpful to use a 2 post lift! Trust me, a garage jack makes the job a thousand times harder. A full brake job with a floor jack took me about 6 hours, while a two post lift took about 2 1/2 hours.

Well... I got it in! Turns out the new flywheel is TIGHT. Creating an air pocket. Used the bolts to drag it in nice and easy, and everything looks great!

Got the clutch in, everything bolted up... But broke a wire on the neutral switch trying to plug it back in and now I'm getting "electric parking brake fault," "hill start assist fault," etc. So it's going to the dealer because I got sick of playing with the wires.

Car does run and drive, though but is in limp home mode, assuming because of the neutral safety switch
