Welcome to my Star Wars Dark Side-themed "Sith Edition" Type R build thread!
Super excited about this as it's my first track-capable project car, but it's also my daily long-distance driver, so I'm trying to balance power gains with mpg losses and building on the somewhat conservative and slow side (gotta maintain family, job, and paying for college x4)...
It's a 2017 FK8 I purchased 6 months ago, completely stock, with 100k miles for $27k. First 2 mods I did were a PRL HVI with race MAF and a Hondata with a base tune.
Shortly after installing the intake, I was rowing through the gears one day and the louder intake and blow off sounds reminded me of Darth Vader's respirator, and the idea for a TIE-fighter (Interceptor) themed build was born. The fact that the car is black with red trim is just perfect too.
Much more to come! Next up is a front splitter from LVA (LiquiVinyl Aerodynamics) with a little custom Vader-ish touch.
Once I get that installed and the electronics projects I'm working on finished (and get this dirty boy a bath), I'll do a video tour and ride along.
Please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel (RedneckMD) for build videos, how-to's, reviews, and lots of other stuff I have planned for this car. Any suggestions or cool ideas for the build anyone has are always welcome!
