Hi all,

Just a little small journal here to keep up with how I mod my type R.

September 28, 2018;
I pick up #1505 2017 TYPE-R with 14,xxxKM, the customer who traded it in, got a red one instead. On the left of me is my 2014 FR-S that I traded in with 46,000km. I' ve done full bolt ons, coils, tuned to stage 3+. But i needed something a bit more big. So I opted for this baby!

Right away I did two things as soon as I got home with the car;
  • Rubber mats with the TYPE R trunk cover
  • Spoon Duracon Shift Knob

  • Smoked LED side-markers.

That's all for now until next year, i am planning to get some rally armor (black on red lettering), and also winter tires as I am going to be using this vehicle for winter as well.

Can't wait for what the future holds!!

Nice! I've got a series yellow Brz and a red type r. Would've preferred white or black but couldn't find any without the $10k markup lol.

Update; I may remove the Spoon knob, it's WAYYY too light and I need a knob with a little more UMPH! Maybe i'll change to the stock one.. man going from a FRS shifter to a Civic shifter is totally different, im scared im going to go from 5th to REVERSE instead of SIXTH! and when i down shit from 5th, i accidently went to 2nd, my poor baby...:( gotta change my shifting habits lol.. so used to reverse being top left with a lockout!

I was gonna comment about the spoon Knob I used to own one! Try either the circuit hero one for the stock shape or the race engineering one!

Circuit hero 490 grams

Circuit Hero knob is too heavy for my FK8. It will be going back to the ITR.
