9" Aftermarket Android Head Unit (Feature Overview / Installation)

Just wanted to give an update-

I actually just got it in and installed a few nights ago. Bought it off AliExpress for $365 and got it in about 3 days via DHL. https://a.aliexpress.com/_msrzqHI

Everything is working as expected. The biggest thing was making sure I got the correct harness, which includes the small Can Bus HD Adapter seen below circled in red. There’s an end that plugs into the front preamps of the radio, an end that plugs into the factory amp cable and then a harness that is wired up into the rest of the harness.

The next thing would be to make sure you have the correct Can Bus vehicle and option chosen in the settings. They advised me to use this one below. I tried using the Civic High model but the sound was way too low.

Reverse camera also works perfectly and I didn’t have to tap any reverse wires.

Stick, I have a CTR. Didn’t have to tap anything for reverse signal either, which was nice compared to others who had to.

Awesome....it means that company had a wire from their harness to the Reverse signal.....the ones we bought were missing that wire. Not a big deal....just a pain to figure it out in the beginning. Just FYI....none of the pics you attached seem to show in my browser....and I have tried two different ones.

Looks awesome. Did you have to specify when you ordered it which model civic you had or specifically ask for the correct connectors for the amp? Or do they ship it with everything that you need by default.

I had to specify which harness setup I needed. They had another listing with the three options and I made sure to message them with the correct one I needed circled. They replied and made sure I got it. By default they send another version that doesn’t include the factory amplifier adapter.

It sounds worlds better than stock. On the factory head unit I was running Viper4Android and this is even better than that once you adjust EQ to your liking.

Awesome man you’ll love it. Why did you go with the 10.1 vs 10.5? FYI AliExpress is having a sale from Joying’s store and it’ll be down to like $360 btw tonight or tomorrow. That’s where I got mine.

Haha shoot I'm not sure the differences. It says the 10.1 is "new" on Joying. Plus I was thinking maybe it won't block the vents as much.

I read the 10.5” as the newer version and I believe it’s the same size physically it just fills up more of the screen itself lol. Who knows. Technical specs all seem the same anyways hardware wise. Honda should have done this size from the start. It is so nice.
