Hi,

I purchased my 2018 SI in September. As for Mods not really planning any but I was curious how often people actually engage the sport mode? Daily? only on a nice twisty road?

Thanks

i use it when i feel lively or have a full car(makes things not bottom out with 4 adults in it)
also changes throttle responses etc.

For me it’s just when I randomly feel like it. I guess I hit sport mode when I see open roads and I wanna drive a little faster. I’d say I do it maybe once or twice a week but not everyday since it’s kinda pointless for me to drive to work in sport mode. I wonder if it has any effect on the life of the adaptive suspension

Only use it when I’m going to drive aggressive on a curvy road or going for a new top speed on a clover leaf type highway on/offramp . Other than that, its off as I find the ride too harsh.

Sport mode would improve the throttle response as well as more agressive shift points. What else? Does it change the suspension settings?

Is LSD turned on all the time?

It’s a mechanical LSD so yes. I actually use sport mode most of the time. But with ktuner I tuned normal to be even less peppy and sport to be more so that there is a more significant difference.

It's always on for me along with traction control always off. You never know when you're gonna randomly appear in Mexico.

I hit it when I want to drive a bit more aggressively and that's about it. I find it a bit bumpy otherwise.

I use it in a few different circumstances - while driving on winding/mountain roads where the pavement is smooth, the freeway if I need to do a lot of passing, or when I just want the “sportier” feel.

It does take that extra cushion off of bumps and for me is too rough to be my default mode. Normal mode is so good already.

I only turn it off if I'm going over serious bumps. I see no other reason to not have it on.
