  1. 2019 Civic Si vs Miata,BRZ,and WRX?

If you need the cargo room, then Miata is definitely out of the question. If you want more of a sports car feel (seating position is amazing), then the BRZ will provide you with that, but you are going to have to downshift a lot to avoid the torque dip at around 4K. The Si is going to be the...
  2. Took Delivery....First Impressions

Did you go on a test drive before purchasing the vehicle?
  3. Still have warranty, what mods can I do?

This is exactly what people should be aware of. It's not just a matter of stating the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act to the dealer. You are essentially taking a risk if you perform any mods. If my car happened to catch on fire, they could blame it on my aftermarket led bulbs if they wanted to.
  4. Power

Because... Power > Gas Mileage, Handling, Braking, Tickets, Maintenance
  5. To those that sold their Si

My mistake. I had leasing numbers in my mind since I leased mine. $0 x 60 months = ZERO // means you got the car for free, payed cash, stole the car or somebody is paying the car loan for you
  6. To those that sold their Si

No car payments are nice when your car note is high. If it is low, then it doesn't really make a difference unless your living paycheck to paycheck. An extra 250 or so dollars a month is not going to change anyone's life if they have everything else in order.
  7. My New Civic Si Doesn't Feel As Great Anymore :(

Behind every beautiful car, there is a guy tired of driving her ;)
  8. My New Civic Si Doesn't Feel As Great Anymore :(

This is what I'm planning to do as well.
  9. To those that sold their Si

I traded in my Si for a BRZ that I found at a Subaru dealership. They gave me what I owed on the vehicle, but like others have mentioned, I did lose some money during the process in other areas (down payment, tax, etc), but it wasn't nearly as much as other vehicles since Hondas tend to hold...
  10. My New Civic Si Doesn't Feel As Great Anymore :(

It's a never ending cycle. You will get use to the power of any vehicle that you own.
  11. I traded in my Si..

Sounds like you need the new Supra lol.
  12. 1st and 2nd gear question

You can shift at a lower rpm, but I find that you need to rev the engine out a little more because the drivers with an automatic behind you can shift gears quicker and because of that, they will be on your bumper.
  13. I traded in my Si..

I think OP and I made a mistake
  14. Car & Driver 2019 Best Cars (Civic Si)

And that's the problem with track times. Don't get me wrong, the Si is a great car, but not better than some of the vehicles that had slower lap times. Do you really want to be taking high speed corners in a Grand Cherokee or a BRZ? Based on these numbers, the answer is Cherokee!
  15. I traded in my Si..

What was the consistency of the oatmeal?
  16. I traded in my Si..

I was really thinking about getting an MX-5 RF. The body roll and no back seats is what made me decide not to get one, since it would be my only vehicle. I may pick one up in the future though.
  17. I traded in my Si..

The LSD is great, but it's a completely different feeling when the front wheels are not working two jobs.
  18. I traded in my Si..

The Z has always been on my list when shopping for a vehicle, but it's just too dated and gets the same gas mileage as a v8. The insurance for me is very expensive as well.
  19. I traded in my Si..

I would say they are about as fast as an Si, but they just deliver the power differently.
