Guys, I went to DMV to try to pay my registration, but DMV wouldn't issue a me a new tag, as Honda has issued a hold on my Vin/car. And of course, I couldn't get a call back from the dealer that I've contacted in my area. My understanding is a lot of techs do not like to perform this recall, as Honda too cheap to pay these specialize techs the appropriated amount of $$$ to complete the work, and it's also a pain to do...

Anyone else going thru this right now? Is it time to go test drive the new Supra? JK :)

Easiest thing just go get recall done. Mines done no issues. Havnt heard any whos had it done say there was an issue.

What was the Issue with the harness? I recently checked and didn’t see any outstanding recalls on my car (hey, I’m a sucker for free manufacturer approved repairs :D), but I’m curious to know a bit more about this

If i am saying this right... the vibrations of the engine was fraying the wires connecting to the harness. Once they were exposed or broke all the safety systems would go haywire. So the recall replaced the harness with a better design.

No recalls for my 2019 CTR, must just be for '18s and '17s

Yup 19s they got it sorted lol. There is also a capless fuel door TSB on 17s and 18s. TSB A18-014 if ya wanna ask your dealer about it.

yes, I finally got an appointment to drop off my CTR at Honda next Tuesday...I was told by one of the a techs at that Honda that there is a specific person doing this recall, so I should have nothing to worry about...but I'm still a bit apprehensive about it.

I am ALWAYS apprehensive about leaving the CTR with a shop... outta my view makes me very uneasy.

This actually is starting to be the norm. Most dealers now have 1 guy or 2 that they will only allow to touch the R. Apparently early on there were problems with letting anyone do it.

I have a 17 that has never had a issue or engine light and also have avoided having the recall done. My tabs were just renewed here in WA state without issue.

What a pain in the a$$!

I fully understand peoples apprehension. But i would get it done. Its not a will give you trouble thing and warnings. When it goes it goes and car goes into a state thats hard to drive. Puls safety recalls go on car fax and vin searches. Is best to just do it. Plus if like me when it decides to go will be on a saturday night in middle of nowhere and leave ya stranded limping car home.

Well, yet again, we here in Cali are getting raw end of it :(
Actually got my appointment bumped up to Thursday of this week.
That's great right? :) But this means I have to pull the Eventuri out but tomorrow night :(
It is what it is...let's put this behind us.
