For all the owners, would you mind sharing your thoughts after several months of ownership? Likes, dislikes, etc. I'm still on the fence about an exhaust system seeing they don't really add much performance, if any. I've been following this thread since the beginning and would love to own the system if/when I can squeeze it into the budget. Thank you in advance.

having owned most the ASM exhausts for the S2000, i can say this exhaust is equal in quality, weight savings and sound. the vacuum controlled boost activated valve allows one to keep the exhaust quiet if required.
performance wise, one will need a tune to benefit from the 3" tubing but this is applicable to any bolts on for the fk8. an added bonus is joe's great customer service.

the exhaust is still on sale at the introductory price so just pull the trigger :D

with stock DP and stock FP:

Likes:
  • very quiet. Quieter than stock in the cabin. Still amazes me every single time I start my car in the garage and it sounds stock.
  • Absolutely no drone. Literally zero. Freeway driving, street driving, in any scenario. Family doesn't complain, they are amazed that the exhaust is not stock.
  • When the valve opens, it's audible but even then, it wasn't loud at all. Had a friend drive my car and i followed him behind and when he floors it, you can hear it but it's not distracting at all.
  • pipes are light (maybe around 10-12lb lighter than stock even with that gigantic muffler) and you have the awesome titanium colors towards the frontpipe area. I need to take it out to the track to put some more heat into it for more colors lol.
Dislike: I don't really have any but if i have to nitpick
  • I do wish i can manually open the valves sometimes. Sometimes I miss the audible note of aftermarket exhausts when the motor first fires up.
  • The valves open up earlier on higher gears due to higher loads. Can easily fixed by adding a boost controller to the line.

edit: This kind of exhaust was what i was looking for and i have heard many exhausts in person being in socal. Price is on the high end but i love it everytime i am driving it. It's what i would like to call a "gentlmen's" exhaust lol.
if you are not into quiet exhausts ... than this wouldn't be the right one for you.

Thank you both @bouford and @boosted180sx. It really does sound like my ideal exhaust. The price is the only thing preventing me at this point :/
yeah, i feel ya. it is a pretty hefty price to pay tbh.
But i have spent like 1400 on the greddy triple tip and ended up selling it for like dirt cheap to a local guy so this exhaust costed me a lot more than 2900 if i include the huge loss i took on the greddy. I should've just bought this in the first place.

best thing to do is listen to it in person. If you ever come down to socal, feel free to drive mine.

I’m a newb and have been lurking and following this thread off and on for awhile...

Couldn’t hold out any longer. Bouford and Boosted180sx broke me down. Just took the plunge and submitted my order. Will be the first mod done to my 2018 CTR daily driver. Wasn’t intending for it to be driven daily when I bought the car, but it’s either this or my old put-put 95 Accord. Imagine this exhaust will up the fun factor and make it even harder not to drive daily.

Thank you all for the comments and feedback about this product. Really looking forward to this.

:beer::beer::beer:

it's a quality exhaust. welds are legit and clean. Hopefully you'll feel the same way about the exhaust as i do.

it also has a lot of adjustments so take your time and adjust it before you tighten everything down if you are ocd like me lol.
