Buying my first Type R which color should I choose?

Hi all,

I have 3 options from 3 different dealers, all are about the same price and I'm getting the same price or quote on my trade in (2018 SI Sedan) please let me know your opinion on these 3 different colors so that will help me make up my mind, I love all the 3 colors and they are Rally Red, Championship white and the Sonic grey color?

White/end thread. FYI I own PMM so it is not just the color I have.

I saw the red in person and knew that I had to have it. The white has the history and all that but meh. Lol

I also like the fact that there are not that many red cars in my area in general on top of the fact that I think there are like 2 or 3 red type r’s in existence. In Canada they only carried the red for 2018 and only something like 60 reds were brought in total.

I have CW already, but I agree with you.

The red will stand out and pop out a lot more than the other colors IMO simply because it's a bright, red "race" car driving down the road. If that's what you're after red is a direction to go. This is the color I have, though it wasn't my first choice of color, it's grown on me.

White is the color with the history behind it and if you're are planning on holding onto it, driving it sparingly, and selling it in 2 decades, this would be the color I'd choose regardless of whether or not I liked it.

I wasn't a fan of the sonic grey pearl color, though it looks better in person. The sort of medium-light grey color has become very popular over the past couple years so it kind of acts like the "unique" color of the half-decade. Though this medium grey has a blue tinge to it in person.

My favorite color for the Type R is still the blue. It stands out like the red because it is just as vibrant of a blue. Though this is also personal opinion as that tone of blue is my favorite color for a car

I can tell you I have pmm. And if you see my other posts i am regularly at shows and meets with 4 Rs at a time of different colors. I get told all the time its the best color. (Shh dont tell my buds lol). Low maintenance hides dirt, shines like no other color. Too many white ones plus dont get the hoopla over it. For me Black is worst color, no contrast of parts and a total bitch to keep clean. When clean for the 5 mins it stays clean it is amazing but you fart near it and black shows it.

But yeah PMM look at that shine like a mirror. Dont get a shine like that on CW lol

Phoenix Yellow, bruh

CW -> PMM -> Black -> PY (?)

White makes everything pop - if you don't like the fake vents or how aggressive that car looks, this color might not be the best choice.

Black and PMM tones everything down.

Black and red. Easiest colors to find for MSRP. Go for it.

Obviously get CW - all of the other colors are not exclusive to the Type R and are available on the plebeian Civic models and why would you want that...the Type R is meant to be in Championship White - end of story

Sonic looks like a navy boat & the red offered is too bright imo. I love red but not this shade....

Can never go wrong with Championship White!
