Which warning message are you talking about? I’m referring to the ‘no USB device connected’ message in my post about it being tied to the USB cable.

Btw, I don’t get that message anymore. It used to come up when I started the car without having my phone connected (after having it connected during the previous drive). I recently got a new phone but I think I stopped getting the message even before I upgraded my phone.

So it turns out the USB has no impact. The warning never goes away unless I click ok. Maybe its a European setting. Its very annoying.

ah ok, I thought it was the safety warning that comes up when you first start the car.

I owned a few Garmin GPS, they all come with this disclaimer. Difference is they do not go away until the “OK” button is clicked.

I sell stereo gear; every single manufacturer does it. We are lucky - most of them don't let the warning go away by itself and you have to agree manually in order to do anything. Only Kenwood has recently added a "Go away after 10 seconds" option just this past year.

My salesman managed to turn it off using the display screen. But then neither one of us could remember how to after I had the audio unit replaced and the message came back.

I didn't read all the posts but you can remove it with the Honda hack. You'll have an option that makes it so it doesn't show up on car start up.
