Not once have I grabbed my Mishimoto CF shift knob, and felt it was warm let alone hot. Looks and feels amazing too so it's a win-win for me :)

Anyone else running Apex R? Made the switch from a Rondure which had nice weight to it but was a bit too tall and made the throws too long. This one has been more to my liking, similar to the stock shifter so shifts are short but increased weight and I love the look!

Its better, but still metallic. It does get pretty hot unfortunately. The rondure one actually wasnt that bad for whatever reason, maybe in part from the type of finish on the metal. For what its worth though, raceseng does sell a thermal bag to cover your shift knob with. Might want to give that a shot, I think they're like $10.

Same setup as mine, except I used the stainless finish Acuity adaptor.
Yeah I've been rocking the Spoon knob since I had my first Si back in 2013. I love that I don't have to worry about burning my hand, it's always just the right temperature. I highly recommend it for anyone who hates burning their hand on metal/aluminum knobs.

It’s great for that. Sit out all day in the sun and it’s only very warm, never too hot to hold.

How far down were you able to thread the knob? On a metal knob I wouldn’t worry but the Duracon is a lot softer. I cut more threads into the shift lever so the knob would engage more threads and sit lower.

I went down as far as it could go without forcing it. But I am planning to cut some more threads in to sit lower. It's just been so damn hot here that I don't feel like doing any installs lol. Once it cools down I'll get to doing that plus the new grill and emblems.
