Thanks for the shout out and the love! I just wanted to clarify that the knobs are actually acetal with a stainless steel core for weight. Everything else you said is accurate though!...That esco shift knob from Acuity is really nice too because it is made of acrylic (no heat buildup). ...
Mine should be here tomorrow also! Since it's in theory an OEM knob I wonder if the boot will attach to this one the same as the old one?My FK8 Type R Shift Knob is coming in tomorrow! That esco shift knob from Acuity is really nice too because it is made of acrylic (no heat buildup). Pretty small as you can see it is close in size to the OEM knob. Weight is at 140g. or 4-5 ounces.
Credit to @elusiveaura for the pictures.
The "boot" or I'm assuming that silver collar is "permanently" attached to the leather OEM knob. But it's fine though it sits flush with everything. I'm a little disappointed in the size though, wish it was just a little bigger. The feel is definitely better though.Mine should be here tomorrow also! Since it's in theory an OEM knob I wonder if the boot will attach to this one the same as the old one?
Got it off Amazon so if I don't like it, I can return it easily. Seems like shift knobs are very subjective and everyone just has their particular tastes. Open for suggestions as well, have the FK8 knob which is light. I want a heavier one as a change of pace.Skunk2 is junk, IMO.
